41 Days and Counting!!!

We are so excited about our upcoming trip to Thailand! The realization is sinking in quickly for us. We have sent paperwork off in order to get a work permit which we recently found out will be waiting for us when we arrive! Most missionaries have to wait about two years for their permits. We are in the process of getting our international driver's licenses and visas for the trip. We have been with my family off and on over the last few weeks in Virginia. On Sunday, we went to one of our supporting churches who voted to raise our support while we were there! Praise the Lord!!! Not only that, but they provided a lot of the suitcases, duffle bags, and trunks that we will use for our trip. We checked into prices of shipping things to Thailand and found out that it would be almost half the price to just take extra suitcases with us and that way we will be able to have our things with us when we arrive.

Please pray for us as we have miles to travel! We are on our way to Oklahoma to visit some of Randy's family and pick up the last of our belongings that we plan to take to Thailand. Then, we will go to Texas to be with more of Randy's family and begin the task of packing all the suitcases. On Sunday, we will be attending our home church for the last time before we leave. It will be hard to tell friends good-bye but we know we will see them again. Knowing that we are where God wants us is the greatest comfort. From Texas, we will be going to Colorado for a missions conference, then to Illinois for another missions conference, New York , Virginia, South Carolina, Oklahoma, and then back to Texas to leave on April 13th. Whew! Yes, we will be glad to arrive in Thailand just so we can be "still" for a while. Pray for health as we are traveling through different types of weather and also for strength.

It is so exciting to live a life for God that includes so many adventures. I am exceedingly and abundantly blessed by God. As Randy says, "Serve God where you are and you will be surprised where He will take you!" May God bless you as you continue to serve and walk with Him.
